Produced and performed by Ichinosuke Shunputei, a popular rakugo performer who is “the hardest to get tickets for”
Setagaya's summer tradition, popular vaudeville performances that both children and adults can enjoy

``Setagaya Summer Irakugo'' is a summer tradition in Setagaya. This is a very popular project that was first held in 2020 and will be celebrating its 5th time this year.
This performance will be produced and performed by Ichinosuke Shunputei, one of the rakugo performers who is ``the hardest to get tickets for.'' As a regular Ogiri on the popular entertainment program ``Shoten'', he brings laughter not only to rakugo fans but also to tea rooms across the country, and is one of the most popular rakugo performers of our time, leading the entertainment world in the Reiwa era.
He attracts many people with his bold modern take on classical rakugo and his approachable speaking style. He not only performs on stage in about 900 seats a year, but also hosts many regular programs and serials on radio, newspapers, and magazines. Ichinosuke is there. During the coronavirus pandemic, he live-streamed Rakugo on his YouTube channel without an audience, which became a hot topic.
``Setagaya Summer Irakugo'' combines Ichinosuke's skillful rakugo with a variety of vaudeville performances, allowing children to experience the fun of traditional, authentic popular entertainment and the splendor of story-telling. People of all ages, male and female, can enjoy vaudeville in a casual atmosphere.

The afternoon session is an introductory section that the whole family can enjoy.
The night part is a full-fledged rakugo performance where you can fully enjoy Ichinosuke's storytelling.

The vaudeville performance ``Setagaya Natsu Irakugo'' will have different content in the daytime and evening sessions.
The afternoon session is an introductory session that is recommended for children and allows them to enjoy rakugo in an easy-to-understand manner. The whole family can enjoy Ichinosuke's rakugo, which captures the hearts of children.
The evening session, on the other hand, is a full-fledged rakugo show where everyone, from those who are experiencing rakugo for the first time to those who are new to rakugo, can thoroughly enjoy Ichinosuke's storytelling skills. Each performance will welcome guests from different performing arts to further enliven the yose.

Enjoy the liveliness of vaudeville this summer as well.

What is “Art Farm”?

An art farm is a place where various arts are born, grow, bloom, and bear fruit. It is a place where you can interact with many arts through performances and workshops such as theater, dance, music, circus, rakugo, fashion, and contemporary art. We will hold a variety of events where a wide variety of people can gather and have fun regardless of the boundaries between children and adults. The theater's summer season becomes a veritable "farm" filled with art.
