SePT presents a showcase of traditional Japanese comedy and performance, produced by Ichinosuke Shunputei!
Ichinosuke Shunputei is the best rakugo (traditional Japanese comedic storytelling) artist alive, a comedian at the top of his game. This is the first ever showcase of traditional comedy and performance produced by Shunputei for SePT.
This showcase features a variety of traditional performing arts over a two-day period. The showcase on the 8th features a traditional Japanese paper-cutting performance by Rakuichi Hayashiya and musical comedy by the duo Oshidori, in addition to rakugo by Shunputei himself. The 9th features traditional popular love songs by Kogiku Yanagi and a solo performance by Shunputei.
