Outline
A SePT collaboration with regional participants who develop the theme “Family” in workshops, and create a performance.
This year’s edition of SePT’s popular annual Chiiki no Monogatari (Stories of the Community) project started in December, since when the 30 participants have been working on the theme of “Family” for their March 17 public performances. They were divided into two groups based on their interest – one focused on “components of a family”; the other on “money within a family.” This year there has also been a third group, which has involved a collaboration between Japanese and Singaporean participants. In this group, four volunteers from among the 30 Japanese participants were paired with counterparts in Singapore, and exchanged letters with them. Then in March, the Singaporean correspondents joined the workshop to create a performance with their Japanese partners.
So now is the time: Please come to see the final outcome of all those intensive workshops at Theatre Tram — and let’s all enjoy these special performances together.
