It was from "Hamlet".Hamlet, in which he himself has played the title role multiple times, is composed from the perspective of pursuing Hamlet's identity by trying to fuse classic and modern drama while making full use of the characteristics of being a Kyogen performer. The stage was well received as "Hamlet" unique to Mansai Nomura.

And in the main performance in March 2023, Mansai Nomura will continue to direct, and will play the ghost of his late father, who guides Hamlet, and his uncle, King Claudius, who assassinates his father and marries Hamlet's mother. rice field.Through the two opposite roles of his father and his enemy, he comes face to face with Yuki Nomura, who plays the role of Hamlet, his son and art disciple, on stage.

Yuki NomuraFor me, the reading version of Hamlet in February 2022 was the first performance to appear on a stage other than Kyogen.His serif skills, which he has trained in Kyogen since childhood, and his dignified demeanor made the solitary image of Prince Hamlet stand out and received applause from the audience.

On the other hand, in the real world, neighboring countries started a war, the former prime minister was assassinated, and the queen died.And the agony of the gray reality that is indivisible in the binary world of black and white where digitalization is progressing.It's a real Hamlet situation.

A Braille pamphlet (about 10 pages) will be available for loan at the theater lobby on the day of your visit.
Includes an overview of the work, information on the theater lobby, and measures to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infection.
