The masterpiece "Arlecchino: Having Two Masters at Once" revived the improvisational masked comedy (commedia dell'arte) said to have originated in Italy in the 16th century. Following their visits to Japan in 1979 and 1999, this will be their third visit to Japan for the first time in 10 years.This work, which has been performed and loved in more than 3 countries around the world, will be performed with Japanese subtitles for the first time.
Arlecchino, the best known of the Commedia dell'arte, is a man in colorful patchwork who is always hungry and acts on the spur of the moment, causing chaos and turmoil around him.He is a lovable character who has entertained audiences for centuries.
This time, the famous actor Ferruccio Soleri, who has been playing Arlecchino for 50 years and captivates the audience with his delicious performance, and Enrico Bonavera, who stirs up laughter in the audience with his speedy and energetic performance, will play Arlecchino on a daily basis.
