Machine de Cirque, a circus company from Quebec, Canada, a hotspot for contemporary circus, will be making its first appearance at Setagaya Public Theater!
The only thing on the stage where light and shadow intersect is a teeter board (seesaw). Please look forward to the poetic worldview that touches your heart beyond words and the incredible acrobatics performed by the two performers.

Overview
Machine de Cirque, a circus company born in Quebec, Canada and very popular in Japan, will appear at the Setagaya Public Theater for the first time.
Machine de Cirque toured Japan in 700 with thier show "Machine de Cirque," which has been performed around the world, and its thrilling and powerful acrobatics and humor with a comedic touch. They captivated the audience with their overflowing performance.
”Ghost Light : Between Fall and Flight” is a specialist in the popular number ``Teeterboard (Seesaw)'' among Machine de Cirque, and won the gold medal at ``Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain'', which is said to be the gateway to success for circus artists. This is a duo work by Maxime Laurin, and Hugo Dario
The two beings lead us into a captivating performance that features a blend of stunning acrobatic feats, choreography, ghostly lights and upbeat music. A reflection of the journey of a partnership, the teeterboard propels the acrobats toward each other in the euphoria of flight, the levity of weightlessness, and the fatality of the inevitable fall.
What is Setagaya Art Farm?
An art farm is a place where various arts are born, grow, bloom, and bear fruit. It is a place where you can come into contact with many forms of art through performances and workshops such as theater, dance, music, circus, rakugo, fashion, and contemporary art. We will hold a variety of events where a variety of people can gather and have fun regardless of the boundaries between children and adults. The theater's summer season becomes a veritable "farm" filled with art.

Machine de Cirque is a Quebec City-based circus company that offers a high dose of vertiginous prowess, strong emotions, poetry, intelligence and humor through the production of innovative and original circus shows. Its ingenious and profoundly human creations are always driven by a unifying vision. Machine de Cirque's unique approach to the art of circus touches and moves audiences.
To date, they have performed over 1000 times in Europe, Asia, and North America, and the number continues to grow.
Currently, he is creating a new work, “Kintsugi” inspired by the traditional Japanese technique “Kintsugi”.
