The “Theater WS Lab”, which started in 2018, is a human resource development project of the Setagaya Public Theater.
We aim to be a place where people with various backgrounds gather, share their interests and worries about the relationship between theater and society, and think and experiment on the relationship between theater and society, and nurture each other.
Various programs such as [regular meetings/MTG], [seminars], [lectures], and [laboratorial projects] will be held.In addition, some programs of Theater WS Lab are open to the general public as [Open Lab] where anyone can participate.
At the start of activities in 2023, we are looking for a few new researchers to join us.
“I want to apply theater workshops to my own field.” “I want to think about what a workshop is.” , I want to think about my own future practice through theater workshops.”I am looking forward to meeting people who are thinking about the future of theater workshops together.

Currently, 53 researchers with different backgrounds are participating, including facilitators, school teachers, nursery teachers, medical workers, actors, researchers, students, and coordinators.
