Setagaya Public Theater is recruiting interns for various projects of "Setagaya Art Farm 2024".

This is a valuable opportunity to learn about the various jobs surrounding theater and performing arts through on-site training and lectures, and broaden your horizons for the future. Eligibility and application conditions

Target

Those who are interested in the production of performing arts works, educational dissemination, and theater management.
Those who want to aim for the staff of the performing arts world or public cultural facilities in the future.

Course A: Those who are interested in the fields of dance and contemporary circus, and those who want to learn about overseas invited performances.
Course B: For those who aim to become producers of plays and musicals in the future.
Course C: An introductory course for those who want to learn more about public theater business management.
Course D: Those interested in the spread of education through performing arts and the connection between theater and local communities.

 

Entry conditions

All of the following conditions must be met.
・Those who are interested in the activities of the Setagaya Public Theater and would like to experience work related to the performing arts (ages 18-25).
・Experience watching works performed at Setagaya Public Theater/Theater Tram.
・Make sure to choose the course you want.Activity days (all mandatory days for participation), and be able to participate in the lecture held on Sunday, August 8th from 25:13 to 00:19 (scheduled).(Please refrain from being absent, arriving late, or leaving early on the activity day.)

On-site training

Production assistance from preparation to implementation on-site for performances and workshops.

Activity period: July 7rd (Tuesday) to August 23th (Sunday)
活動日:7月25日(木)、27日(土)、28日(日)、30日(火)、8月7日(水)、10日(土)、14日(水)~18日(日)は終日参加が必須です。そのほかは、相談の上、活動日を決定します。

[Course B] [Long-term] Musical play “Kiki on the Trapeze” production course
Activity period: July 6 (Mon) - August 24 (Sun)
Activity days: June 6th (Monday) to July 24th (Monday) is the rehearsal period. During this period, activity days will be decided based on your academic schedule, but we ask that you participate as much as possible.
From July 7th (Tuesday) to August 30th (Sunday), participation is basically required all day long, except for closed days [August 8th (Wednesday) and August 18th (Tuesday)].

[Course] [Short term] “Setagaya Natsu Irakugo” + Musical play “Kiki on the Trapeze” Production management course
Activity period: July 7th (Sat) - August 20th (Sun)
Activity days: Participation is required throughout the day from July 7th (Saturday) to 20st (Sunday) and August 21th (Monday) to August 8th (Tuesday). You will be participating for about 5 days during the "Kiki Trapeze Nori no Kiki" performance from August 6th (Wednesday) to August 8th (Sunday). The number of sessions and participation dates and times will be determined after individual consultation.

[Course D] [Short-term] Drama workshop
Activity period: July 30th (Tuesday) - August 8st (Thursday) All day participation is required.
Target project: Engeki workshop for high school students

 

Common to all courses|Lecture

Learn about the work that supports theaters from multiple angles, including theater management, production, public relations, and technology related to the performing arts. 

Theater staff will give lectures on various jobs related to theater and performing arts.You can take a wide range of lectures in one day, including theater management, production, public relations, and technology.

*Participation in the lecture is voluntary for those who have applied for an internship, but due to limited capacity, registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

* Collected personal information will be used only for the purpose of deciding whether to participate, and will be managed according to the Setagaya Cultural Foundation Personal Information Protection Regulations.
*If you are injured during the internship period, we will compensate you within the scope of the insurance that the theater subscribes.
