Professional aerial artists or professional performers with aerial experience.

Workshop B:
Those who have experience in theater, dance, performance, etc. (whether professional or amateur) and are interested in modern circus.
No aerial experience required.
Capacity About 10 people each time

Entry fee Workshop A: 4,000 yen

Overview

Aerial workshop by Raphaëlle Boitel, the director of Fierce 5, who has directed and choreographed all the productions of his own circus company Louvrier, and who has also appeared in numerous productions as an aerial and contortion performer. .
This time, we will be holding two programs: a master class for professionals and a program for people with dance performance experience, regardless of whether they are professionals or amateurs.
Through choreographing circus, physical theater, and opera works, Raphaëlle has developed and created a "new body language."This workshop is recommended for those who want to develop their own abilities and discover new expressions.

Message Workshop A:
Master class for professional aerial artists or professional performers with aerial experience.
In addition to aerial techniques, we will bring out the new language hidden in each body through improvisation, group work, and floor work based on the theme and choreography of this performance.
The master class, attended by technical staff from Compagnie Louvrier, will be a first-time experience even for professional artists.

Workshop B:
This class is for those who have experience in theater, dance, performance, etc. (both professional and amateur) and are interested in modern circus.
No aerial experience required.
A workshop where you can experience ``modern circus'' by Raphaëlle Boitel, focusing on aerials, floor work, etc.

Profile

Raphael Boitel

Raphaëlle Boitel (composition and direction of “Fierce 5”)

Born in 1984. She made her first stage performance at the age of 6, and at the age of 8 was discovered by Annie Fratellini and entered the prestigious Académie Fratellini, a prestigious French circus school. From 98 to 2010, she worked with her brother Camille Boitel under James Thiele, the standard bearer of modern French circus.In parallel, she is also active in theater, film, and television. Since 2012, she has been active at Aurelien Bory (Cie 111).Afterwards, he founded the company He Louvrier, where he directs and choreographs all of his works.In addition to his own works, he has choreographed operas at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, and Opéra-Comique. In 2020, he will be selected to direct the graduation production of the French National Circus Art Center (CNAC). In 2021, he premiered the France x Japan contemporary circus exchange project "Fierce 5".In September of this year, he attracted attention at a cultural event leading up to the Paris 9 Summer Olympics.
