To mark the 10th instalment of SePT’s annual Ohanashi no Mori program for children, rock musician ROLLY — a veteran of the project, performing since its launch in 2010 — again shares the spotlight with the actor Jin Katagiri, who made his debut last year.
While ROLLY is well-known through his role of the commander in NHK E-TV’s popular children’s program “Musica Piccolino”, Katagiri is also known very well to children as the voice of “Mr. Jumoku” from the same channel’s hit show, “Shakeen!“
August 3rd will star ROLLY — who is active in music, theatre and other media — released his new album, “ROLLY’S ROCK WORKS,” in May, and is set to perform in the musical “Big Fish” in November.
August 4th will see the performance Jin Katagiri. Most recently appearing in the TV series “It’s your turn”, he is a popular feature in radio and TV, and is also renowned for his stage skits — He is most known for his roles from the play “No. 9” and TV series “99.9: Criminal Case Lawyer.” Katagiri is also famous as a clay artist, and has been invited to present his works in Taiwan this summer.
With such talents presenting this year’s phantasmagoric reading performances, audiences of all ages are sure to have a great time.
On Aug. 3rd, ROLLY takes the stage at 14:00, where he will accompany his reading performance with live guitar music. Then at 18:30 he will present a special live solo show, during which he will read a children’s picture book, accompanied by children to play instruments with him.
Finally, on Aug. 4, it’s Katagiri’s turn to round off Ohanashi no Mori for this year with reading performances featuring live music — and lots of fun — at both 13:00 and 16:00.
☆ After each performance, SePT will present a complementary gift to each child.
