Message Vol.1 The Current State of Theater Education
In recent years, new perspectives on abilities such as “21st century skills” and “basic skills for working people” have emerged.Along with this, new connections between learning and theater are being attempted. In addition, learning is gaining attention not only in schools, but also in companies and communities. How can the multifaceted aspects of theater, such as creativity, the body, storytelling, and communication, be utilized in education in the future?I would like to explore the current state of learning and theater and its theoretical background.

Vol.2 Future Learning and Theater
As "active learning" is in the limelight, learning at school is now required to change.Theater is truly an “active” activity in that it involves moving the body and interacting with others. In addition, it has the characteristic of making use of fiction, which is not found in many other learning methods.Based on practical examples of drama education in England and theatrical methods in Japan, I would like to think about the transformation of the learning image from the perspective of theater, beyond the development of "communication ability" and "expression ability". .
