Brackish water area: A place where sea water and fresh water mix
Japanese eels are born in the west of the Mariana Islands, 3000km from Japan.
While drifting on the tide, we will ride the Kuroshio off the coast of the Philippines and aim for the distant rivers of Japan.

Once a boy who poached eels in the Philippine estuaries
In search of his own roots, he rides the tide toward Japan.

The search for identity is always included at the core of questioning the past.
