The award was established in 2001 as a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation and the Setagaya Public Theater with the aim of discovering and nurturing the next generation of choreographers in the fields of art and culture. increase.Aiming to promote dance in Japan, we support the expansion of choreographers' activities.

In this "Nextage" (final screening), 203 finalists selected from 242 groups (6 people) submitted by the finalist selection committee by the judges will present their choreographed works (15-20 minutes). Performance.The judges and guest judges will decide one “Next Generation Choreographer Award” and one “Audience Award” will be decided by audience votes.
We invite you to join us in discovering choreographers who create next-generation dance that is full of originality, transcending genres and careers.
