　Based on the three pillars of "creation of repertoire," "dissemination of performing arts overseas," and "fusion of classical performing arts and contemporary theater," the "Contemporary Nogaku Collection" series is planned and supervised by Artistic Director Mansai Nomura.Six works have been performed so far, each of which is based on Noh and has been well received for its bold and delicate reflections of modern times.
This time, the 7th installment, we welcome Hiroshi Kuramochi, who is the director of the theater company Penguin Pull Pale Piles and has produced many performances, to write and direct.Kuramochi directed the 5th installment in the series, ``Shundokumaru'', ``Shunkan-san'', and ``Ai no Kodo''.
This time as well, it will be an omnibus performance consisting of three works based on the motifs of Noh "Aoi no Ue", Kyogen "Hanako", and Yukio Mishima's "Modern Noh Collection "Hanjo"".

　“Among Noh and Kyogen works, I have selected three works that depict the passion and jealousy of men and women,” says Kuramochi.Even though Noh and Kyogen were written in the distant past, the subtleties of the minds of men and women are still relevant today.
