What is Kaitai Shinsho?
In this series, the various fields and elements that make up the world of contemporary art are broken down into parts, and the origins and foundations of each are questioned.With the aim of creating a new "Japanese theater" and laying the foundations of the theater, we invite a wide variety of guests each time to make full use of each other's fields of expertise to explore the common and indispensable thing = the "essence of expression." It's a plan.We are thinking of a flexible performance that will change the style each time depending on the content, making a clear distinction from ordinary performances.Mansai Nomura will act as the host of the stage progress, and will unfold a <talk & performance> with the guest artists.We aim to convey the essence of performing arts to audiences who want to enjoy performing arts more deeply than just watching and enjoying them.

◎The theme this time is "breath"
The “breath” that Zeami refers to in Densho is all about musicality. Touching on the universality of “breathing” that flows continuously in “sound”, “dance” and “words”, I would like to spin various stories such as "NIPPON".

◎Mansai Nomura
Born in Tokyo in 1966.Kyogen performer.Artistic director of the Setagaya Public Theater.He is the eldest son of Living National Treasure Mansaku Nomura.General Designator of Important Intangible Cultural Property. He presides over Kyogen Gozarunoza.In addition to Noh and Kyogen performances in Japan and overseas, he has starred in stage productions such as "Sacred Meridian", "Oedipus King", "Hamlet", "Yabuhara Kengyo", and movies such as "Onmyoji" and "Nobo no Shiro". In "Machigai no Kyogen", he directed and starred in a stage that made full use of Kyogen techniques, and in "Kunitojin", a stage that tried to fuse classical performing arts and modern art. In March 2012, he directed Yukio Mishima's "The Marquise de Sade", and in February this year he staged a new production of "Macbeth" (premiered in 3), which he composed, directed and starred in. ◎Aki Yashiro
Born in Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture. Debuted in 1971. In 1973, she released her successful work "Namida Koi".After that, she released a number of hit songs such as "Ai's Terminal Station", "I want to meet again", and "Funauta", and in 1980 she won the Grand Prize at the 22nd Japan Record Awards for "Ame no Bojo".In 40, when she celebrated her 2010th anniversary as an entertainer, her singing skills were recognized and she received a commendation from the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs.In addition, she has been selected for 2012 years in a row at the world's oldest art exhibition, "Le Salon" in France, which is said to be the gateway to success for painters, and is a permanent member.Not only is she a singer, but she is also expanding her field of activity as a painter. ◎Yakumitsuru
Born in 1959 in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo.Cartoonist and commentator. He has the pseudonym "Hatayama Hatch". Debuted in 1981 in "Manga Time" magazine. In 1996 he won the 42nd Bungeishunju Manga Award.While serializing many of his works in newspapers and magazines, he also appears as a commentator on TV information programs.He captures the social situation with dry comments on topics such as politics, society, entertainment, and sports.He is also active in various fields, such as serving as a director of the "Japan Insect Association" and a member of the selection committee for the "New Words and Buzzwords Award".He is also known as a general collector of antiquities such as toilet paper wrappers, cigarette butts of celebrities, handwritten autographs, magazines, baseball, sumo wrestling, performing arts, and advertisements.
