Yoshihide Otomo: Guitarist, turntable player, composer, producer.
Born in Yokohama in 1959.Spends his teenage years in Fukushima City.He continues to create a wide variety of works simultaneously and independently, and his scope of activity extends all over the world.As a film composer, he has composed music for many video works, with more than 70 works.In recent years, under the name of "Ensembles", he has been working on music works and special concerts that are exhibited in collaboration with various people, as well as music workshops with children with disabilities and general participation type. We are also working on projects. Sachiko M: sinewaves
After working as a sound engineer for a theater company, he started his music career in 1994 with a sampler in hand. In 1998, the extremely simple and minimalistic sound that used sine waves for test tones and switch noise, and showing a pure and thorough attitude towards music, attracted worldwide attention at once and became aloof. became known as an improviser. In 2003, he received the Golden Nika Award in the digital music category of "Ars Electronica". In 2004, he presented his first sound installation "I'm Here".At the same time as his music performances, he also puts effort into presenting exhibitions and taking photographs, continuing his activities in a wide range of genres.His solo exhibition "I'm Here -shortstay-" is currently touring.He just published his first photo book "Where we are".
