The "Toyota Choreography Award" was established in 2001 in partnership with the Setagaya Public Theater as part of Toyota's social contribution activities (support for the arts and culture) with the aim of discovering and nurturing the next generation of choreographers. It will be the 8th time.

At the "Nextage" (final screening) held on July 7, 22 finalists selected from 197 applicants / groups at the finalist selection meeting (video / document selection), Performed at the Setagaya Public Theater.After all works have been performed, the judges and guest judges will discuss and vote for one "choreographer of the next generation", and the audience will vote for one "audience award", and an award ceremony will be held.

We invite you to join us as we discover choreographers who create next-generation dance that is full of originality, transcending genres and careers.
