The 1960s was a time when the landscape of Tokyo changed completely.Japan entered a period of rapid economic growth, with economic growth exceeding 10%.Construction of roads and buildings throughout the country was proceeding at a rapid pace in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics, and it was around this time that the scenery of the city we live in now became closer.
In this "Regional Story" workshop, 40 participants from the general public were divided into 3 courses to find clues to the memories and things of the people of the 1960s that they searched for with their own feet, hands and eyes. I worked on the creation of the work for several months.
The result is our 'regional story', which consists of three small pieces, each with its own distinctive character. What did the participants and the facilitator/director/playwright/choreographer living in 3 find and give form to in this project?
