The "Children's Theater" series has been performed since the Setagaya Public Theatre's opening, with the aim of making children more familiar with the performing arts.We create stage works based on fairy tales that children are familiar with on a daily basis and various stories from around the world.
The work to be performed this time is "Ningyo Hime", which is based on Hans Christian Andersen's masterpiece fairy tale "The Little Mermaid".The contemporary version of "Ningyo Hime," which was created with Teresa Ludovico, the scriptwriter and director of Teatro Kismet, based in southern Italy, has been a long run with 18 performances at 40 venues in Japan and overseas.
A simple and fantastic stage, live music that resonates with the heart, and dance that makes the heart dance stirs the imagination of children, and expresses the confusion, admiration, joy, love, hatred, anger, and sadness that Princess Ningyo experiences. You will experience a variety of emotions as if they were your own.The lessons and narratives hidden in fairy tales blossom as a lively performing art.
Please enjoy it with your family.
